Terms of Use
Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-08-22
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Ampersand Documentation (https://documentation.ampersand-it.com/), a service operated by Ampersand IT. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
Ampersand Documentation is provided as an online service. We develop it continuously and may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue a feature you rely on, or the service as a whole, we will give you reasonable notice and, where technically possible, a way to export your data.
2. Your account
Access requires an account, in most cases through Ampersand Identity single sign-on. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at support@ampersand-it.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your country.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
- upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts or our infrastructure;
- probe, scan, overload or otherwise disrupt the service, or bypass rate limits and access controls;
- scrape or automate access outside of documented APIs, or resell access without our written permission;
- publish content that is illegal, hateful, deceptive, or that harasses or endangers others;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and remove content that breaches them.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you upload. You grant Ampersand IT a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit and display that content solely to operate and support the service for you. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.
5. Our intellectual property
The software, design, trademarks, documentation and all other materials of Ampersand Documentation belong to Ampersand IT or its licensors. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you. You may not copy, decompile or create derivative works from the service except where the law expressly allows it.
6. Paid features
Where Ampersand Documentation offers paid plans or in-service purchases, prices and billing periods are shown before you confirm the purchase. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. Unless the law of your country requires otherwise, purchases of digital content that has already been delivered are non-refundable. We will notify you of price changes in advance and they never apply to a period you have already paid for.
7. Availability and beta features
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates and events outside our control may cause downtime. Features marked as beta, preview or experimental are provided as-is, may change or disappear without notice, and should not be used for critical workloads.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Ampersand IT is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or to EUR 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence, intent or death and personal injury.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. After termination, we delete or anonymise your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of your country of residence. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first — write to support@ampersand-it.com.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced inside the product or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
